Positioning

As a Fabled Scholar, Ying Zheng reaps the back-row enemy's life with superb single attack ability. Once he kills his target, the Passive Skill will be triggered to deal a 100% Crit DMG to the rest of the enemies. Outstanding DMG plus powerful AOE - this is why Ying Zheng is called “The Life Reaper”.

Active Skill

Wild Ambition: Deal DMG to a random enemy in the back row, and decrease the enemy's DEF.

Passive Skills

Grand Cause: Passive Skills will be triggered when the Active Skill reduces the target's HP to a certain level.

Raid Kingdoms: After casting the Active Skill, if the target's HP is lower than 50%, then Ying Zheng will cast Raid Kingdoms to deal DMG with a Triumphant Defeat Effect and extra Crit Rate. The target killed with this effect can't be revived.

Triumphant Sweep: If the target is defeated by Raid Kingdoms, then Ying Zheng will deal DMG to all enemies. This attack has a 100% chance of Crit.

(All skill effects will intensify as leveling up)

Equipment

Ying Zheng plays better in later turns. So try to avoid AGI increasing equipment and slow down his pace.

The Duality Set suits him the best - the huge increase of ATK and Crit leads to an incredible DMG. Shock the enemies with the big DMG numbers!

By the way, ATK, Crit, and DMG Increase should be the priority when you refine your equipment.

Treasure

[Fan Pendant] is the Destiny Treasure of Ying Zheng. It provides ATK and Crit attributes. When Destiny is activated, HP increases. Wearing Ying Zheng's Destiny Treasure makes sure he survives under intensive attack and counterattacks with a killing spree.

Gems

Yuexiu prefer to engrave ATK, Crit, and HP Gems as they provide a balanced improvement between “DMG First” and “Survival First”. But if you are keen on extremely-high ATK, DMG Increase is a better choice instead of HP Gems.

Soul Stone

Allocate Ying Zheng on spot No.3 or No.5 in your Array. And [Eagle Opal] helps further improve both ATK and HP. 

Formation

Control & Kill: Diaochan & Zhuge Liang & Ying Zheng

With her Advantage on AGI, Diaochan reduces an enemy's Rage - active skills won't be triggered. Prince Jing is an alternative when you do not have Diaochan. His Taunt ability works pretty well on protecting. Then Zhuge Liang's outstanding DMG will assist Ying Zheng to knock out the back-row enemies. 

DMG First: Ying Zheng & Zhuge Liang or Xuanji

Zhuge Liang and Xuanji both are strong heroes with incredible AOE abilities. They perfectly assist Ying Zheng to carry out the last hit. In fact, Xuanji has a small advantage in this allocation - her passive skill deals DMG for a certain percentage of the target's maximum HP. She will never steal the last hit~

All For The Last Hit: Ying Zheng & Li Bai & Xuanji

As one of the hot picks, Li Bai has a charming appearance and exceptional DMG. Here is the way these 3 cold-blood killers cooperate. Xuanji decreases enemies' HP with AOE skill then Li Bai or Ying Zheng goes for the last hit. Belt and braces~

Buffs Never Stop: Ying Zheng & Pan An

If you are not a “DMG First” person, it is also a wise choice to pick a Support for Ying Zheng. Pan An should be one of the best options as he provides several types of Buffs: 1) DMG increase, 2) Crit increase, 3) DMG reduction, and 4) Debuff immune. What a hardworking all-rounder!

Scholar & Ying Zheng & Zhuge Liang & Prince Jing & Wan'er

The Tank, Prince Jing, Taunt the enemies to protect the rest of the squad. Zhuge Liang and Scholar will be safe to deal tons of DMG and help Ying Zheng achieve the last hit. Meanwhile, Wan'er backs the whole team up with superb healing ability.

Musician & Ying Zheng & Xuanji & Pan An & Fucha

As mentioned in the previous sections, Pan An provides reliable Buffs that increase the total DMG. With those Buffs, Musician and Xuanji deal more DMG to the enemies. Then the chance for Ying Zheng to get the last kill is guaranteed. Well, it is never wrong to bring a Support who is a healing expert - Yuexiu pick Fucha~

Guard & Ying Zheng & Li Bai & Xuanji & Fucha

In this formation, you need to take the responsibility of a Tank. Make sure Xuanji has a safe environment to lower the enemies' HP. Li Bai and Ying Zheng attempt to knock out as many foes as possible. 

Gourmet & Ying Zheng & Zhuge Liang & Pan An & Fucha

Healing abilities from Gourmet and Fucha guarantee the safety of the entire squad. Zifu and Zhuge Liang deal more DMG with Buffs from Pan An. Then Ying Zheng takes the last hit.

Physician & Ying Zheng & Zifu & Zhuge Liang & Fucha

Utilize the control abilities from Gourmet and Zifu well to ensure the safety of Zifu and Zhuge Liang. The rest of this battle will be much easier.
